College Spotlight

Dr. Marquita Grenot-Scheyer became Dean of the College effective December 15, 2008. Dr. Grenot-Scheyer came to CSU Long Beach in 1988, and has served as Associate Dean since 2002. She earned her Ph.D. in Special Education in the Joint Doctoral program, University of California, Los Angeles and California State University, Los Angeles. Read the Message from the Dean.


The Ed. D. in Educational Leadership inaugural cohort began taking classes Summer 2007. The application deadline for Cohort 4 is January 11th with the program starting in Summer 2010. For more information visit the Ed. D. in Educational Leadership website.

The School Psychology Credential Program has recently received Full Approval from its national accrediting agency, the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). NASP approval is earned by meeting a set of rigorous professional standards, and validates that graduates of the program receive high quality preparation to practice in the field. The program is also accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
