CTEL Course Offerings through CLMER

The Center for Language Minority Education and Research (CLMER) offers two CTEL courses each semester, pending sufficient student enrollment. The courses are offered off-campus at a location to be announced. For further information, or if you are interested in registering for courses, please contact the CLMER Office at 562-985-5806.

Schedule for Fall 2008

EDEL/EDP/EDSE 439:  SDAIE: Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English. 
This class will be held on 9 consecutive Monday afternoons/evenings commencing October 6, 2008 and concluding December 8, 2008.  The location for the class will be determined at a later date.

LING 329:  Introduction to Language Acquisition. This class will be held on nine consecutive Wednesday afternoons/evenings commencing October 8, 2008 and concluding December 10, 2008.  The location for the class will be determined at a later date.

Schedule for Spring 2009

EDEL 430:  Social and Cultural Diversity in U.S. Schools.  This class will be held on nine consecutive Monday afternoons/evenings commencing February 2, 2009 and concluding April 13, 2009.  The location for the class will be determined at a later date. 

EDP 485:  Theoretical Foundations of Language Minority Education.  This class will be held on nine consecutive Wednesday afternoons/evenings commencing February 4, 2009 and concluding April 15, 2009.  The location for the class will be determined at a later date.
