- Grow Graduate Programs
- Focus CED efforts: Concurrent “push out information” and “pull in students”
First Steps
- Establish baseline; identify current enrollments
- Establish projected targets for each program (ES, MSCP, SS)
- Identify Recruitment Periods and Develop Recruitment Calendar
- Develop “Look” for College (based on current shell theme)
- Develop and Coordinate recruitment materials (Brochures, Website)
- Create database
Develop & Implement CED Recruitment Plan
- Identify potential audiences (Liberal Studies, community colleges, emergency permit teachers, SERVE students, paraprofessionals, work-study students, Career Placement Office…)
- Identify contacts for all potential audiences
- Initiate contacts with audiences; follow-up systematically
- Follow-up
Coordinate & Implement Outreach Activities
- Organize database (status)
- Organize material distribution (mass emails, mailings, web postings)
- Presentations at work fairs, community college classes, beginning teacher meetings…
- Follow-up phone calls, emails, letters
- Centralize & track progress
- Evaluate impact of contacts and recruitment efforts
Focus on Students & CED Responsivity
- Friendly & knowledgeable front office staff
- Timely response & follow-up
- Scripted response “frequently asked questions”
- “Talking points”
- Faculty advisors and mentors
- Evaluate CED responsivity
