The early childhood education program's organizational structure forms a logical sequence of course work and advanced field work. The curriculum may be considered in three phases. The courses offered reflect a gradual progression from an emphasis on issues primarily of interest to the practicing professional to issues of theory and research with the ultimate goal of developing an understanding and integration of theory and practice in the discipline.
