Librarianship Program Graduate Karen Morgenstern Produces Advocacy Video

Karen Morgenstern, a graduate of the master’s program in Librarianship (now part of the Educational Technology and Media Leadership program), recently produced an advocacy video for the California School Library Association. Morgenstern also received her teacher librarian services credential through the College of Education's Librarianship program. The 10-minute video focuses on teacher librarians and their unique role as both teachers and library media services personnel who foster students' information literacy and provide professional development for the school community, among other roles. The video, which includes commentary from Librarianship program coordinator Dr. Lesley Farmer, also highlights the importance of the cooperative and collaborative learning that occurs in school library spaces.
