Marriage and Family Therapy Field Work

1. An Application for Field Work (obtain from the Graduate office, ED1-Room 7) must be submitted and approved the semester prior to enrollment in each of the 3-semester Practicum/Field Work sequence courses (COUN 609, COUN 643D, COUN 644D). The Field Work Application deadlines are: March 1 for the Fall and summer semesters; October 1 for the Spring semester. EACH SEMESTER OF PRACTICUM and FIELD WORK REQUIRES A SEPARATE APPLICATION.
2. Field Work Prerequisites:
   1. 1st semester Counseling Practicum, COUN 609 (150 hours per semester, approximately 15 hours per week. NOTE: CSULB Educational Psychology Clinic requirements AND Field Site Requirements);

   2. 2nd semester Counseling Field Work, COUN 643D (175 hours per semester, approximately 15 hours per week);
      1. COUN 609
   3. 3rd Semester Advanced Counseling Field Work, COUN 644D (175 hours per semester, approximately 15 hours per week);
