Preliminary SB2042 Credentials - Appeal Information for Expiring Multiple and Single Subject Teaching CredentialsThe Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) has amended Title V Regulations to address expiring SB 2042 Preliminary Multiple and Single Subject teaching credentials. It is important to note that these new amendments do not change the clear credential requirements of employment and completion of a CTC-approved Induction Program, rather they allow teachers additional time to complete existing SB 2042 clear credential requirements under current statutes. Three appeal options are now in place for extensions of time for preliminary SB 2042 credential holders whose five-year credentials are expiring.
To apply for an extension follow the application process listed below:
Questions should be directed to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing at www.ctc.ca.gov or by telephone at 1-888-921-2682. CTC Leaflet AL-3 "Staff Appeals Extending the Term of a Credential or Permit" |
