Clearing a Teaching Credential
CSU, Long Beach can recommend Ryan Clear Multiple and Single Subject
teaching credentials for teachers who have
- completed a minimum of 15 semester units at CSULB
- completed at least 30 semester units of upper-division or graduate
level coursework AFTER the bachelor's degree
- completed all statutory course requirements, including Mainstreaming,
Health with CPR, Level I and Level II Technology
- completed the English Learner authorization requirement (Clear candidates
whose initial Preliminary credential was issued after June 30, 2003
must complete an Advanced English Learner course, complete a CLAD Certificate
or Emphasis, or have another English Learner authorization.)
- have a Renewal Code of R14C or R14R/R14T on their Preliminary credential
document
We cannot recommend a Clear credential if the renewal code on the Preliminary
credential document is one of the following:
