Information for: Educational Psychology Clinic

For more than thirty years, the Educational Psychology Clinic at California State University, Long Beach has served as a primary training site for the School Psychology, Counseling, and Reading/Language Arts Specialist Credential Program while providing comprehensive educational and psychological services to children at a moderate cost. Services at the Clinic are provided by graduate students under the supervision of faculty in the College of Education. Clients are accepted for services twice yearly (September and February) with the addition of the Early Childhood clinic in early November.

The Educational Psychology Clinic offers counseling, psychoeducational assessment and tutoring services to children ages 6 through 17, and developmental assessment services for children ages 3-6. Children may be referred to the clinic by parents, school personnel, or mental health professionals.

Affordable, professional counseling services for adults will be offered at the Educational Psychology Clinic. Individual and couples therapy will be provided by advanced graduate students in Marriage and Family Therapy, under the supervision of licensed University faculty.
