College of Education Adjustment to State Budget Crisis

Due to the state budget crisis, all CSULB faculty and staff are required to take unpaid furlough days during the year. All College of Education offices will be closed 17 days between August 13th and June 30th. In addition, each staff member must take 7 personal furlough days. Consequently, responses to various types of requests for services (walk-in, mail, email, telephone) from college offices may be delayed. We apologize for the inconvenience.

All College of Education offices will be closed on the following days: 8/13, 8/21, 9/8, 10/9, 11/2, 11/25, 12/31, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7, 3/26, 3/29, 4/21, 5/6, 6/4, & 6/18. Please note that these are budget-related campus closure days. College offices will also be closed on the normal holidays identified on the campus calendar.

Located in ED-1 Room 33, we are open from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday with extended hours available by appointment. We recommend that you contact us at 562-985-5772 or ced-ecs@csulb.edu before your visit to confirm the hours for that day.

The Annual Education Job Fair

The 2010 Education Job Fair will take place on Friday, April 23, 2010 - please check back later for details.

The California Association for Employment for Educators will award up to four scholarships of $1000 each in 2010. Applicants must be enrolled in a regular or special education teaching credential program with a completion date between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010, and must be graduating from an institution that is a member of CAEE.
