Educational Psychology Advancement to Candidacy (Effective Fall 2006)

The catalog published in the academic year in which the student is advanced to candidacy governs the course of that student’s program. A candidate must:

  1. Fulfill the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR).
  2. Complete the following prerequisites:

    Track 1: EDP 301 or 302; and EDP 305, 419, and EDSP350 or acceptable equivalents; Track 2: EDP 301 or 302; and EDP 405 and 419, or acceptable equivalents

  3. Complete 6 to 9 units of core courses.
  4. Maintain a 3.0 grade point average on the prerequisites plus 6 to 9 units of core courses.
  5. Resolve all incomplete grades.
  6. Complete an approved plan of study in consultation with the program advisor.
