Math Education Grad Students present at CSULB International Week

Toby Carpenter, Min Kim, and Lynda Mccoy from the MA in Education, Option in Mathematics Education Program will present their experiences associated with their summer 2011 trip to China at CSULB's International Week events. The session will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, from 4:30-5:00 pm at the University Student Union, room 253.

These graduate students had the opportunity to accompany their professor, Dr. Shuhua An, to China this summer. While in China, these students presented their research on algebra teaching at the Third International Classroom Teaching Research for All Students Conference in Changsu, China. Their upcoming  presentation on November 16th will provide an overview of their research projects on algebra teaching, and their experiences visiting Chinese elementary and middle schools where they observed math lessons.
