The College of Education offers information meetings for prospective applicants who are interested in learning more about our program offerings. We encourage you to attend our information meetings per the schedule provided below.

Education Specialist Credential Program Information Meetings

The Education Specialist Credential Program (ESCP) offers monthly Group Information meetings. At the meeting faculty and staff explain basic credential requirements, the pathways available in the Education Specialist Credential Program, and program prerequisites and requirements. We also discuss the process for application to the University and the Credential Program.

Individual appointments are available after a student has attended an Information Meeting if additional information is needed. Students who have attended the ESCP Information Meeting and would like to make an appointment to speak to a program advisor may call 562-985-1105 to set up an appointment.

Multiple Subject Credential Program Information Meetings

The Multiple Subject Credential Program (MSCP) offers monthly Group Information and Application meetings prior to the application deadline. At the meeting faculty and staff explain basic credential requirements, the pathways available in the Multiple Subject Credential Program, and program prerequisites and requirements. We also explain the application form, items which must be included with the application, deadlines and the admissions process.

Walk-in advising is available after a student has attended a Group Information Meeting if additional information is needed.

Single Subject Credential Program Information Meetings

The Single Subject Credential Program offers monthly Information Meetings to provide an overview of credentialing in California, introduce the program, and answer specific questions. Prospective candidates are urged to attend this meeting, and similar meetings offered by other institutions, in order to make an informed choice of which program to enter.

The Graduate Studies Office hosts General Information Sessions, providing an overview of the Master's degrees and Advanced Credential programs we offer and the application process.

If you are interested in a tour of College of Education "Hot Spots" for graduate students, please arrive in the EED (formerly ED1) Building Lobby no later than 3:00PM.  The tour will last approximately 25 minutes and will end at the General Information Sessions.  Reservations are not required.

Ed.D. in Educational Leadership Information Meetings

We offer several on-campus information sessions to cover the details of the application process and program requirements, provide a brief introduction to the program of study and what to expect in the program, and provide an opportunity to meet doctoral program faculty. It is recommended that all prospective students attend at least one session.
