Mandatory Student Teaching Application Meetings
Candidates must submit a Student Teaching Application during the semester prior to the one in which they wish to student teach. All candidates must attend a Student Teaching Application meeting, during which they receive the application and instructions.
Applications to student teach in Fall 2012 must be submitted no later than March 1st. Applications for Spring semester student teaching must be submitted no later than October 1. Deadlines are firm.

*The MM (MultiMedia Center) building is located behind the library off of parking lot 6. You cannot access the MM building through the library. On the campus map the building is listed as MMC, however, on the building the sign says MM. MM-100 is downstairs and MM-200 is upstairs.
Fall 2012 Student Teaching Application Deadline: Thursday, March 1, 2012
REMINDERS: Passing CBEST & CSET scores must be turned in by the March 1, 2012, deadline in order to student teach in Fall 2012. The last CBEST exam for Fall 2012 student teaching is February 4th, 2012. The final CSET exam for Fall 2012 student teaching is January 7, 2012. Candidates completing subject matter course work must have 100% Subject Matter Competence prior to Fall 2012. If you have any questions, please call the Single Subject Program Office at 562-985-5325.
Already Attended a Meeting?:If you attended a Student Teaching Application Meeting in Fall 2011 and did not apply for Spring 2012 Student Teaching, you do not need to attend another meeting to apply for student teaching in Fall 2012. You may submit the same application that you received in a Fall 2011 meeting. If you attended a Student Teaching Application Meeting prior to Fall 2011 and never applied to student teaching, you must attend a new meeting and obtain a new application to submit by March 1st.
Reapplying??: If you have previously applied to student teaching and had to withdraw for any reason you must reapply if you wish to student teach in Fall 2012. The deadline to submit a re-application for Fall 2012 student teaching is April 1st. See the Single Subject Office in ED1-67 to receive a new application and information on what needs to be submitted with your re-application.
