Summer 2012 SERVE Rotations

The Online Placement System for Summer 2012 will open May 9, 2012 and close June 15, 2012.

Summer placement is available for returning SERVE students only.

Summer Partners

Community Placement - Signal Hill Public Library

• Hours: M, T, TH/12pm-8pm  & W, F, Sat/ 8am-5pmF
• Future teachers who work in a library get a head start on learning about the resources they will use as teachers. The library is a great place to SERVE!

CSULB Placement - Young Writers' Camp

• Session I: June 25-July 13, M-F (no July 4th)/8:45am-12pm
• Session II: July 16-August 3, M-F/9am-12pm
• Can be used for ENGL 309
• Students don't have to work the entire session or every day & they can construct their own schedules
• Classes will be on lower campus, off of East College Drive, around SPA and Engineering buildings

District Placements

- Charter Schools - Los Angeles: Aspire Pacific Academy (High School)

• Aspire Pacific Academy's Summer School: July 2-July 28

- Garden Grove Unified School District

• 8am-11:10am Monday - Friday
• July 2-13 (no school on July 4), Special Ed only
• July 16-27, Special Ed only
• Schools: Rosita Elementary, Post Elementary, Peters K-3, Sunnyside Elementary

- Long Beach Unified School District: Milikan High School Counseling Office

• June 25 - July 31
• Hours: 8:30am-12pm or 9am-12:30pm
• Work under the supervision of counselor Serena Dank
• Can be used for INDEPENDENT Rotation ONLY
