Margaret LichtyFamily & Consumer Sciences Coordinator - Single Subject Credential ProgramAssistant Professor - College of Health & Human Services Office: FCS - FA16 Phone: 562-985-7492 Email: mlichty@csulb.edu Website: www.ced.csulb.edu BiographyA Nebraska native, Dr. Lichty earned her BS and MS degrees in Family and Consumer Sciences Education from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. She taught middle and high school for six years before earning her Ph.D. in Career and Technical Education with an emphasis in Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher Eduation at Virginia Tech in 1999. After one year at Northern Illinois University, Dr. Lichty came to CSULB in 2000 and has served as Program Coordinator of Family and Consumer Sciences Education since that time. Dr. Lichty has served three terms as Secretary of the California Association of Family and Consumer Sciences and is currently the President. She is the Executive Board Member-at-Large of the National Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher Educators, and is a Reviewer for the Journal of Family and Consumer Sciences Education.
