English Single Subject ProgramSingle Subject Credential Program (English). A program in the College of Education that candidates complete to earn their Single Subject Credential in English, which allows them to teach English at the middle and high school levels in the State of California. English Education. The name of the major in the Department of English that provides students who plan to pursue a single subject credential in English with subject matter competency. At this time, students who earn a B.A. in English Education are not required to take the four CSET sub-tests in English. Students who pursue the waiver in English Education at CSULB, after having their transcripts evaluated, make up deficiencies in course work from the English Education major in order to waive the CSET exam in English. Recent Announcement. With the closing of admissions for Spring 2010, students graduating in December 2009 who have not taken EDSS 300G by the end of this fall semester will *not* be able to continue at CSULB for their credential program in Spring 2010. To delay your graduation, go to Brotman Hall and file the Request to Change Graduation Date form. |
