Jayland Learning Teaching Opportunity_______________________________________________

Image
mime-attachment.jpeg   China and Jayland Learning   Jayland Learning is a supplemental education school that offers English language through CULTURE. We have opened our 2nd school for less than 2 months and registered around 300 students. One of our founders has been recognized nationally as an exceptional and innovative leader in business and interviewed by CCTV (national television station like CBS or NBC) for a nationwide show/documentary about his achievements. We are under construction, moving our first school in downtown Dalian to a new and much bigger location at the end of the month. We have grown our corporate business and are serving fortune 500 companies like Intel and Goodyear with our Culture Trainings and transitional living services. We have become an example in exceptional quality and service to our consumers thanks to our staff and teachers who sincerely believe in our goal to improve the quality of life for Chinese and foreigners living in China.   As we are nearing our summer season and expanding at a rapid speed, we also have followed the news in Southern California of further educational budget cuts, “PINK FRIDAY”http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29691306/from/ET/ , and massive employment difficulties for new and existing teachers http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-oe-sand26-2009mar26,0,693417.storyhttp://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-lopez25-2009mar25,0,4942695.column. Just last week we heard an interview with California Superintendent of Public Instruction O’Connell about the 44 billion in stimulus money. We know this is not ongoing support, but only a onetime payment for special education and other special need programs but can’t save the many teachers that are looking at unemployment. Unfortunately, teaching quality is not the determinate of job security, but union seniority takes precedence leaving an average of 20-40% staff reduction with inevitable further cuts.   We as loyal SOUTHERN CALIFORNIANS want to do our part and help SOCAL teachers stay employed and improve their skill set while our economy at home recovers. We know China is an ever growing presence in America and our school system. Chinese language programs are popping up all over the country and we know the US will be cooperating with China in our immediate and distant future.

As the world changes--teaching in China is a genuine opportunity for Western Educators. By bringing the 2 cultures together, the exchange of ideas and experience WILL result in significant mutual benefit, improving both our countries understanding of each other.
