Internship Program
To be eligible for the CSULB Internship Program, an individual must be subject
matter competent*, have a recommendation from the Director of Music Education,
and have a job offer from a district with an internship agreement with CSULB.
The following districts have intern agreements (9/03):

- Centinela Valley Union High
School District
- Compton Unified
- Downey Unified
- El Rancho Unified
- Fullerton School District (K-8)
- Garden Grove Unified
- Long Beach Unified
- Los Alamitos Unified
- Los Angeles
Unified (Sub-districts G, H, I, J, K; those districts within
the CSULB service area, between the Harbor and Long Beach Freeways)
- Montebello
Unified
- Norwalk-La Mirada Unified
- Orange Unified
- Palos Verdes
Unified
- Paramount Unified
- Saddleback Valley Unified
- Torrance
Unified
- Tustin Unified
- Whittier Unified
- Pending:
Fullerton Joint Union HSD and Lynwood Unified.
*Complete a CTC approved undergraduate program in music education, pass
the required exams (PRAXIS, SSAT/CSET), or demonstrate competency through
transcript review.
This is a two-year program. Students must complete the required coursework
(29 units) during the first year of the internship and successfully complete
student teaching during the second year.
