BCLAD in México Certificate

The BCLAD Certificate in México program contains three major components:

  • Language development in Spanish
  • Methodology and practice in classrooms
  • Immersion in the Mexican cultural milieu

The program is divided into segments that give candidates the option of taking two courses in México and two courses in California or all four courses in México. California segments are taught in English and Spanish; México segments are taught in Spanish only.

The site is Querétaro, in the colonial heart and modernizing core of the country, three hours north of México City. The program has expanded to include in-service teachers for three six-week study visits. The work can be used for a new BCLAD Certificate, general professional development, or toward a master's degree.

A limited number of Federal Grants and University Extension scholarships are available.

See BCLAD in México Certificate Course of Study for prerequisites and course requirements.
