Application Procedures and Deadlines for Master of Arts in Education
Applications for the Master of Arts in Education (all options and specializations)
are accepted for Fall semester entry only. Two applications
must be submitted: one to the University and one to the specific
program you wish to enter.
Applications to the University may be
obtained from Enrollment Services (123 Brotman Hall; 562-985-5471) and
are submitted to that office. The University begins accepting applications
after December 1 for admission the following Fall. The application is
in two parts. When your application is complete, the University forwards
Part B to the College of Education Graduate Studies Office. Please contact
Enrollment Services with questions about procedures for applying
to the University.
NOTE: If you are currently enrolled at CSULB as a graduate
student in a credential program and you are seeking admission
to a Master’s program, you MUST re-apply to the University
for this additional educational objective.
Applications to specific Master of Arts programs
may be obtained in the College of Education Graduate Studies Office in
person in ED-1 Room 7, by mail (562-985-8476), or downloaded
from our website. Applications to individual programs have different
requirements. Be sure to submit the correct application for the
program you wish to enter.

The deadline for submitting an application for Fall 2006 is May
