Multiple Subject Credential Program Deadlines

The application to the University is separate from the application to the Multiple Subject Credential Program. Please note the deadlines below:

University Deadlines

Students should apply to CSULB for the semester they wish to begin taking prerequisite courses.
  • The deadline for admission to the University for Fall 2008 is June 1, 2008 . Click here for instructions for applying to CSULB.
  • Students who wish to take Multiple Subject prerequisite courses in Fall 2008 and who are not enrolled at CSULB for the Fall 2008 semester may attempt to take courses on a space-available basis through Open University. Multiple Subject Program Application Deadlines

Students must be enrolled in or have completed EDEL 380 and EDSP 303 with a grade of "B" or better when applying to the credential program. Applications to the Multiple Subject Credential Program are available only at our MSCP Information Meetings. Click here for schedule.

  • The deadline for Winter/Spring 2009 application to the Multiple Subject Credential Program is October 1, 2008. We will accept application packets in ED1-Room 67 beginning August 1, 2008.
  • The deadline for Summer/Fall 2008 application to the Multiple Subject Credential Program is March 3, 2008. We will accept application packets in Ed1-67 beginning January 2, 2008.
  • The deadline for Fall 2008 application to the Multiple Subject Credential Program is July 15, 2008 . We will accept application packets in ED1-Room 67 beginning June 15, 2008.

PLEASE NOTE: The June 15-July 15, 2008 application period is open to post-bac program applicants only. This application period is not open to students in the undergraduate ITEP track.

After application review, candidates meeting initial qualifications will be invited to complete an interview with program faculty. After interviews are completed, candidates will be informed in writing regarding acceptance into the program.

Please note that deadlines are firm and applications to the credential program and the university are not accepted after these deadlines.
