ITEP Student Teaching Application
Spring 2014 STUDENT TEACHING INFORMATION
Deadline: October 1, 2013
No Exceptions!
| One Semester ITEP Student Teaching |
| All Multiple Subject and Liberal Studies courses must be complete prior to one-semester student teaching. |
| Student teaching placements are made by the MSCP Placement Coordinator in collaboration with specific school districts. |
| You will teach full time; 5 days/week. |
| Two 8-week, 8 unit assignments; one primary grades K-2 and one upper grades 3-6. |
| Two Semester ITEP Student Teaching |
| Student teaching placements are made by the MSCP Placement Coordinator in collaboration with specific schools. |
| Two Semester; Part Time; 5 days/week, with one full day. |
| Methods courses taken with student teaching. |
| Each semester is an 8 unit assignment; one semester primary grades K-2 and one upper grades 3-6. |
| Bilingual Student Teaching | ||||
| Student teaching application process same as traditional. | ||||
| Requires approval of Bilingual Coordinator | ||||
| First assignment is the traditional placement. Second assignment is the bilingual assignment. | ||||

Requirements to Advance to Student Teaching

One semester student teachers: Complete all credential courses and all Liberal Studies courses

Two semester student teachers: Courses taken with student teaching are determined by your Liberal Studies advisor

Maintain 3.0 GPA in pedagogy courses with no grade lower than “C” in any program course

Provide fingerprint clearance. Print from: CTC LOOK UP

Valid TB clearance (Tests are valid for 3 years)

Pass all parts of CBEST & CSET by posted deadlines

Submit completed Student Teaching Application packet to the Multiple Subject Student Teaching Office, ED1-62 before October 1st
AVOID THE LINES-TURN IN YOUR APPLICATION BEFORE October 1st!
The deadline to apply for Spring 2014 student teaching will be October 1, 2013.

Last Day to take CSET and/or CBEST: October 1, 2013
