Mary Lou Watkins

Mary Lou Watkins has experience teaching grades 1-6 in suburban elementary schools.  She also was assistant principal at a 6-8 middle school and a principal at a K-5 elementary school.  She has taught social studies methods, reading methods, language arts methods, graduate classes in language arts, taught reading methods in the ITEP program and taught both at UCI and CSULB.  She has been a master teacher, supervised student teachers, and was a mentor teacher for nine years in the Fountain Valley School District, as well as being selected as Teacher of the Year in 1987.  She currently coordinates the First Five School Readiness Initiative Grant for Fountain Valley School District, as well as supervises student teachers.
