Teacher Education Professor, Dr. Bill Jeynes' International Projects

Dr. Bill Jeynes continues to have favor with the Obama administration that has led to various opportunities overseas. The U.S. Government is supplying the funds to enable Ukrainian academics to translate Dr. Jeynes' book, "American Educational History: School, Society & the Common Good" (Sage) into Ukrainian. Dr. Jeynes' work with both the Obama and Bush administration on the achievement gap has also led to an invitation to speak on both the achievement gap and values at Oxford University. Dr. Jeynes also has additional writings that are being translated into Chinese and Russian. Dr. Jeynes is very grateful that these works are getting out to nations that previously were closed to American works. Consistent with this trend, Dr. Jeynes was interviewed by Al Jazeera, the primary news outlet of the Middle East. It is his hope that these opportunities will help improve international relations.
