Welcome to the Teacher Preparation Advising Center
The Teacher Preparation Advising Center (TPAC) is located in ED 1 - 67 within the College of Education at California State University, Long Beach.
TPAC Summer 2009 Office Hours:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 - 5:00. Closed for lunch 12:00-1:00 on Fridays.
- The campus will be closed Monday, May 25th and Friday, July 3rd.
- TEACHER RESOURCE ROOM: Located in ED2-168, the Center is open to students taking coures in the Single Subject, Multiple Subject, Education Specialist Level I and ITEP programs. Resources include: Free printing for CSULB class assignments; Scanners; Die-cuts; Laminating; Project materials; Test Prep Guides for CBEST, CSET (Multiple Subject, Single Subject English, Social Science, Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Art, Spanish) & RICA. Beginning June 1, 2009:

Credential Program Information:
Deadlines:
The application to the University is separate from the application to the Credential Programs. Please note the deadlines below:

The deadline for CSULB applications for Spring 2010 is November 15 , 2009 . Apply online at http://www.csumentor.edu. Do NOT submit test scores, letters of recommendation or a personal essay with your CSULB application. These items will be submitted with your credential program application.
- Students who wish to take courses in Fall 2009, but have not applied to CSULB, may attempt to do so during the first week of the semester on a "space available" basis through Open University. Contact University College and Extension Services at 562-985-5561 or visit http://www.uces.csulb.edu/OpenUniversity
- Credential Program application deadlines are posted on the individual program websites listed above.

- Free Test Preparation Workshops:
- Pre-program and In-program advising and information for the Multiple Subject (elementary), Single Subject and Education Specialist (special education) credential programs
- General Academic information about the credential programs, College and University policy
- Referrals for questions best answered by other College offices, University Offices, departments, programs or faculty advisors
