Students must be enrolled in or have completed program prerequisites in order to apply to the Credential Program. You may click here to download the Information Sheets and Application for the Education Specialist Level I Program (PDF file) or may come to the Teacher Preparation Advising Center in ED1-67 to request an application packet.

The information packet contains a program overview, prerequisite conditions and courses, credential program requirements, frequently asked questions, faculty roster, application instructions and an application.

Students with general questions regarding the program and application will be advised by the staff of the Teacher Preparation Advising Center, ED1 - Room 67, 562-985-9259. In depth questions will be referred to the Level I Program coordinator or the Education Specialist faculty. Once candidates have been accepted into the program, they are assigned a faculty advisor for ongoing advisement.
