Admissions
Applications for admission to the University may be obtained online or at any California high school or community college or from the Admissions Office at any of the campuses of the California State University. Electronic versions of the CSU undergraduate and graduate applications are accessible on the World Wide Web at CSUMentor. The CSUMentor system allows students to browse through general information about CSU's twenty-three campuses, view multimedia campus presentations, send and receive electronic responses to specific questions, and apply for admission and financial aid. Information on CSULB requirements and deadlines can be found at the main CSULB site.
Program Admissions
Besides being admitted to the University, students must also apply to a specific program. See the specific program information for details.
- Students wishing to apply to the Multiple Subject (elementary) or Education Specialist Level I (special education) Credential programs should contact the Teacher Preparation and Advising Center at 562-985-1105 for application information.
- Students wishing to apply to the Single Subject (secondary) Credential Program should contact the Teacher Preparation and Advising Center at 562-985-5325.
- Students wishing to apply to a master’s or advanced credential program should contact the Graduate Studies and Research Office at 562-985-8476.
- Students wishing to apply to the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership program should contact the Ed.D. Program Office at 562-985-4998.

Requirements for admission to California State University, Long Beach are in accordance with Title 5, Chapter 1, Subchapter 3, of the
California Code of Regulations. If you are not sure of these requirements you should consult a high school or community college counselor or CSU campus.
