Welcome to the Office of Graduate Studies and Research

The mission of the College of Education is to foster a learning and teaching community committed to educational excellence. Our goal in the Graduate Studies & Research Office is to provide students with timely assistance in meeting their educational goals by maintaining their files, processing the various documents necessary for petitions for course equivalency, advancement to candidacy, fieldwork, and capstone requirements such as the comprehensive examination or thesis. The office also supports faculty grants and awards, and curriculum for the College.

Newly admitted for Fall 2008 and interested in taking classes during Summer 08?

If you have been admitted for the Fall 2008 semester and want to take summer classes, please visit the Enrollment Services site for special registration instructions and information.

APPLICATION DEADLINES EXTENDED:

The application deadlines for the following programs have been extended:

Educational Administration (MA and Preliminary Administrative Services Credential) - deadline extended to May 15, 2008.

Elementary Education - specializations in Curriculum and Instruction, Dual Language Development, Early Childhood Education and Reading and Language Arts - deadline extended to June 1, 2008.

Secondary Education - specializations in Curriculum and Instruction, and Reading and Language Arts - deadline extended to June 1, 2008.

We are located near the South Turnabout (Seventh St. & West Campus Dr.) in the Education 1 building ( ED 1 room 7 )

Hours of Operation

Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (open during lunch)
Friday 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Summer Office hours - May 19 - August 29, 2008

Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (open during lunch)
Friday 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
